Booking requests
Submitting a booking creates a request for service and may create a temporary card authorization where required. It does not by itself confirm the booking.
If BC Snow Tuning can accept the request, the customer receives a final booking review containing supplier information, approved services, prices, payment terms, scheduling information, and applicable policies.
The booking becomes confirmed only when the customer accepts that final booking review.
If the request is not accepted, or the customer does not complete final acceptance, the booking does not become confirmed and any uncaptured authorization is handled through the existing authorization-release workflow.
Supplier information
BC Snow Tuning is a registered Ontario sole proprietorship. The legal supplier name, telephone number, business address, and contact email are provided in the final booking review before a booking is confirmed and are included in the customer's agreement copy.
Guest booking and eligibility
You may book without an account. You must provide accurate contact, equipment, address, and scheduling information and be authorized to request work on the equipment.
The person accepting the final review must be at least 18 and authorized to contract for the equipment owner. You must disclose known damage, prior repairs, safety concerns, and conditions that could affect safe handling or service.
Home pickup and return is limited to addresses verified against the configured service area. Workshop and final handoff arrangements remain subject to the accepted booking details.
Pricing and adjustments
Displayed and final-review prices are in Canadian dollars. GST/HST is not currently charged. The authoritative itemized price is retained with the accepted agreement.
Positive repair adjustments require separate, explicit customer authorization before the additional work or collection. Negative adjustments are recorded credits.
The optional CAD 20 next-day request applies only if the owner accepts it. If it cannot be honoured, the booking must be rejected, cancelled, or rebooked with the customer's agreement.
Scheduling and turnaround
A selected pickup or workshop drop-off window reserves only the initial handoff while the request remains active. Return timing is a preference until included in the accepted final review.
The 24–48 hour turnaround is a target after gear is received and inspected, not a guarantee. Repairs, equipment condition, weather, workload, or customer coordination may require more time.
Payment authorization, capture, and adjustments
When offered at checkout, workshop customers may pay later by cash or Interac e-Transfer or authorize 100% online. Home pickup requires an online authorization for either the configured reservation amount or 100% of the authoritative total. The reservation amount is credited toward the total and is never an added fee. All card payments are online; there is no physical terminal or card-at-handoff option.
Stripe card Checkout places a temporary hold rather than taking payment immediately. A reservation hold may remain in place after owner confirmation. It is charged before the provider hold expires using the service's safety window, or when service is completed if sooner. A missing, expired, contradictory, or uncertain provider result stops the financial transition for review.
Price increases require a new customer-approved quote and authorization. Post-confirmation positive repair adjustments require separate, explicit customer authorization and, for Stripe, a separate Checkout. Credits and refunds are recorded against the financial ledger; no ambiguous provider result is treated as final.
Workmanship concerns
Please report a workmanship concern within 7 calendar days after the equipment is returned or made available for pickup, and give BC Snow Tuning a reasonable opportunity to inspect it before third-party work changes the condition.
Where the concern is caused by the performed service, the available remedy is reasonable re-performance or another remedy required by applicable law. This does not cover ordinary wear, misuse, impact, storage, new damage, undisclosed pre-existing conditions, or third-party work, and it does not reduce non-waivable statutory rights.
Risk, loss, and liability
Ski and snowboard equipment is used in an inherently risky activity. Tuning does not certify bindings, equipment, or a user's ability and cannot eliminate risks caused by age, wear, hidden damage, misuse, installation, terrain, weather, or another provider.
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, BC Snow Tuning is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. For physical loss of or damage to equipment caused by BC Snow Tuning, the remedy is limited to reasonable repair or the equipment's fair market value immediately before the event, accounting for age and condition, rather than a new replacement.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer rights, or protects BC Snow Tuning from responsibility for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or another unlawful waiver.
Acceptable use and changes
Do not misuse the service, submit fraudulent requests, probe private resources, or interfere with security or availability.
Material term changes use a new version and effective date. The version and exact final disclosure accepted for a booking remain part of its retained record.
