Terms of Service
Terms for submitting and managing a guest booking request with BC Snow Tuning.
- Effective date
- Policy version

Your request and booking confirmation
By explicitly accepting and submitting a booking request, you agree to the booking details, price, payment terms, cancellation policy and other material terms shown before submission. Submitting the request does not by itself confirm the booking.
If BC Snow Tuning accepts those same material terms, owner confirmation forms and confirms the booking without a second customer acceptance. Any required payment processing must also complete safely before confirmation.
These rules apply only to new bookings made under this policy version. Existing requests and agreements retain the policy and acceptance rules originally recorded with them.
We may perform and record complimentary services or minor additional work at no additional charge without requesting another approval. Changes that increase the agreed amount or otherwise require additional authorization will still require your approval.
Supplier information
BC Snow Tuning is a registered Ontario sole proprietorship. The legal supplier name, telephone number, business address and contact email are shown before you accept and submit the request, and retained with your agreement.
Guest booking and eligibility
You may book without an account. You must provide accurate contact, equipment, address, and scheduling information and be authorized to request work on the equipment.
The person accepting and submitting the request must be at least 18 and authorized to contract for the equipment owner. You must disclose known damage, prior repairs, safety concerns and conditions that could affect safe handling or service.
Home pickup and return is limited to addresses verified against the configured service area. Workshop and final handoff arrangements remain subject to the accepted booking details.
Pricing and adjustments
Prices are in Canadian dollars. GST/HST is not currently charged. The authoritative itemized price shown before submission is retained with your initial acceptance; any later accepted revision and separately recorded supplier discount remain auditable.
The optional CAD 20 next-day request applies only if the owner accepts it. If it cannot be honoured, the booking must be rejected, cancelled, or rebooked with the customer's agreement.
Scheduling and turnaround
A selected pickup or workshop drop-off window reserves only the initial handoff while the request remains active. Return timing remains a preference until confirmed as part of the agreed booking arrangements; it is not guaranteed by submission alone.
The 24–48 hour turnaround is a target after gear is received and inspected, not a guarantee. Repairs, equipment condition, weather, workload, or customer coordination may require more time.
Changes requiring your approval
If we make an important change to your booking before confirmation, we will ask you to review and explicitly accept the updated details. Silence never counts as acceptance. Additional work or increased charges require your explicit approval before the work or collection proceeds.
We may perform and record complimentary services or minor additional work at no additional charge without requesting another approval. Changes that increase the agreed amount or otherwise require additional authorization will still require your approval.
- A price increase, added paid work, or a material change to the services.
- A change to the handoff method, date, time, window or required location.
- A change to your payment obligations or material payment or cancellation terms.
Discounts and supplier credits
A pure discount or supplier credit that only reduces what you owe and creates no new obligation does not require another acceptance. We record and show it separately; the original accepted price remains part of your agreement history.
A credit is not proof of a refund. If a reduction requires money to be returned, card refunds and cash or Interac settlement follow the existing payment and reconciliation rules.
Deadline for accepting booking changes
Please accept revised terms by the exact deadline shown with the offer. The default deadline is two hours before the start of the handoff or pickup window, in America/Toronto time.
If we do not receive your acceptance by the stated deadline, the booking may be cancelled. Silence is not acceptance. Cancellation uses the safe payment-cleanup process; any required authorization release, refund or reconciliation must be resolved before cancellation is shown as complete.
If that deadline has already passed, contact BC Snow Tuning to discuss the arrangements. We will not issue an automatic approval request with an impossible deadline. Nothing in this process limits applicable legal cancellation or refund rights.
Payment authorization, capture, and adjustments
When offered at checkout, workshop customers may pay later by cash or Interac e-Transfer or authorize 100% online. Home pickup requires an online authorization for either the configured reservation amount or 100% of the authoritative total. The reservation amount is credited toward the total and is never an added fee. All card payments are online; there is no physical terminal or card-at-handoff option.
Stripe card Checkout places a temporary hold rather than taking payment immediately. A reservation hold may remain in place after owner confirmation. It is charged before the provider hold expires using the service's safety window, or when service is completed if sooner. A missing, expired, contradictory, or uncertain provider result stops the financial transition for review.
Price increases require a new customer-approved quote and authorization. Post-confirmation positive repair adjustments require separate, explicit customer authorization and, for Stripe, a separate Checkout. Credits and refunds are recorded against the financial ledger; no ambiguous provider result is treated as final.
Workmanship concerns
Please report a workmanship concern within 7 calendar days after the equipment is returned or made available for pickup, and give BC Snow Tuning a reasonable opportunity to inspect it before third-party work changes the condition.
Where the concern is caused by the performed service, the available remedy is reasonable re-performance or another remedy required by applicable law. This does not cover ordinary wear, misuse, impact, storage, new damage, undisclosed pre-existing conditions, or third-party work, and it does not reduce non-waivable statutory rights.
Risk, loss, and liability
Ski and snowboard equipment is used in an inherently risky activity. Tuning does not certify bindings, equipment, or a user's ability and cannot eliminate risks caused by age, wear, hidden damage, misuse, installation, terrain, weather, or another provider.
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, BC Snow Tuning is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. For physical loss of or damage to equipment caused by BC Snow Tuning, the remedy is limited to reasonable repair or the equipment's fair market value immediately before the event, accounting for age and condition, rather than a new replacement.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer rights, or protects BC Snow Tuning from responsibility for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or another unlawful waiver.
Acceptable use and changes
Do not misuse the service, submit fraudulent requests, probe private resources, or interfere with security or availability.
Material term changes use a new version and effective date. The version and exact final disclosure accepted for a booking remain part of its retained record.
